The Club was formed back in the days of Little Richard
and Buddy Holly when a small section of All Souls Youth Club decided to
put on plays and sketches for the local community.
Due to the popularity of the plays and pantomimes the decision was made
in the early 1970s to move the performances to Southport Arts Centre on
Lord Street.
The club has gone from strength to strength and now performs their annual
pantomime to over 4000 patrons over a three week period.
Don't think that we are a club that can only perform pantomimes. Over
the years we have performed summer reviews, music hall, plays and numerous
charity concerts. It is with thanks to the public who support us and watch
our shows that we are able to donate to local charities each year.
We aren't just a membership of performing members. We have many social
members who support us by attending our many social events each year and
many of whom make up the bulk of our very important backstage crew.
We meet as a club on a Wednesday night at All Souls Community Centre
on Norwood Road at 7.30pm.
